During April we will be sponsoring breast cancer and cancer reasearch, as we all know cancer affects one in three people, 45,000 women each year are diagnosed with breast cancer, unfortunately 12,000 of them will die, making this discease the biggest killer of women in the Uk, this type of cancer is one of the most easily treated if it is detected early enough.

I can speak from personal experience, as my own wife has been treated for advanced breast cancer 2 and half years ago at the age of 41yrs, it is a daunting emotional experience and the doctors and nurses do an amazing job, treatments are moving on all the time, but they need money to fund the reasearch, also when you are having treatment whether that is chemotherapy, radiotherapy or whatever, the nurses try to make you as comfortable as they can, by providing magazines, tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits comfortable lounges for you to wait in and many more other things besides, all these extra’s help the patient tolerate this harrowing experience , but none of these things are funded by NHS, so your money will help someone through a very difficult time in their life and make them more comfortable

The moto for breast cancer is “Stay healthy for as long as you can as new treatments are being licenced every day”, we intend to divide the money equally between breast cancer and cancer reasearch, so please give whatever you can afford, I can assure you, your money will help someone and it will be spent wisely.
